On June 20, Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai
Cement held a Safety Forum at their headquarters in Seocho-dong, Seoul, aimed
at enhancing safety awareness among employees.
The event was attended by Chief Safety
Officer (CSO) Oh Hae-geun, along with 17 plant managers and safety leaders from
major production sites of both companies. A professional safety consulting firm
led the session, offering lectures on process risk management, safety-related
decision-making frameworks, and leadership in safety practices.
CSO Oh Hae-geun led a discussion with site
management teams, sharing Hanil’s strategic direction and key priorities in
occupational health and safety management. He emphasized, “While preventing
direct causes of accidents is essential, cultivating a safety-first mindset
among all employees is even more important. We will continue to enhance safety
awareness through ongoing education.”
Meanwhile, Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai
Cement are reinforcing tailored safety management systems for each site. Since
May, they have been running an internal safety instructor training program at
major plants including the Danyang Plant. A total of 60 employees and partner
company staff have been selected to receive hands-on coaching and technical
safety training in collaboration with specialized institutions. These safety
leaders will begin implementing site-specific, process-focused safety management
starting in July.
