Established in 1961, Hanil Cement with self-esteem and pride has grown together with history of Korean economy based on cement. We are the second in cement industry as for current sales, but our company are highly recognized in the same industry in the aspect of financial structure, profitability, R&D, environmental management system, etc.
Presently, Hanil Cement established ‘Integrated material supply system’ to supply major building materials necessary for construction process to customers through stations for distribution from ‘Portland cement’ created from 50-year knowhow to ‘Remicon’ with high quality just in time system and ‘Remitar’, the best finishing materials specialized according to uses.
Especially, Hanil Cement recognizes ‘environment’ as one of core factors for management and has tried for CO2 reduction and green growth by eco-friendly production, material recycling or efficient use of energy, etc.
Danyang factory minimizes fossil fuel and natural resource use by recycling resource and fuel and alternative energy of waste heat power plant using waste heat from cement calcination furnace. Portland blast furnace cement produced in Pohang and Pyeongtaek factories is representative resource recycling type of eco-friendly product which uses blast furnace slag which are by-products from iron works. With this effort, we were selected as green company by Ministry of Environment for the first time in cement industry and exceptionally in manufacturing industry in 2011. Danyang factory equipped with six calcination furnaces and electric automatic system controlled by advanced computers produced World-class five kinds of Portland cement with KS standard and Portland blast furnace cement through accumulated technology for fifty years and strict quality control. Hanil Cement has a goal to be the global company with competitiveness in both domestic and international basic building materials field in the future.
