On June 12, the Hanil Cement Labor Union held a ceremony to commemorate its 60th anniversary. The event was attended by notable guests including Representative Um Tae-young of the People Power Party, Danyang County Mayor Kim Moon-geun, the Chair of the Danyang County Council, members of the Chungbuk Provincial Council and County Council, as well as Hanil Cement executives and employees.

CEO Jeon Gun-sik delivered a congratulatory message, expressing his wishes for the continued prosperity of the union “through a spirit of harmony and mutual growth.” Union Chairman Shin Gwang-seon remarked in his commemorative address, “May we transform challenges into opportunities and boldly advance toward the union’s 100th anniversary.”

The event also included commendations and awards for exemplary union members who have contributed to the development of the union. In a meaningful gesture of community sharing, the union donated 3,120 kg of rice—purchased with support from labor unions of other cement companies, the company, and various organizations—to help local neighbors in need while celebrating the union’s milestone.
