At the 2025 Chungcheongbuk-do Quality Circle Competition, Hanil Cement’s Danyang Plant claimed top honors as the Mechanical Team’s “Change” circle and the Production Team’s “Flame” circle were both awarded the Grand Prize.

Held from June 10 to 11 at the Convergence Technology Institute of Chungbuk National University, the “Change” circle competed in the Safety & Quality category with a presentation titled “Reducing Risk Index by Improving Hazards in the Waste Oil Injection Process of the Cement Kiln System.”

The “Flame” circle, participating in the Carbon Neutrality category, presented on “Reducing Carbon Emissions through Improvement of the Alternative Fuel Transport System.”

Additionally, Mr. Kim Seok-yong, Team Leader of the Mechanical Team, received a commendation from the Governor of Chungcheongbuk-do in recognition of his contributions to enhancing corporate quality and productivity.

Hosted by the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Government and organized by the Korean Standards Association, the competition aims to promote quality management and strengthen competitiveness by showcasing and sharing outstanding quality improvement cases from various workplaces.

This year, 24 quality circles from 13 companies took part. Circles awarded the Grand Prize will go on to represent Chungcheongbuk-do at the national competition scheduled for August in Jeju.
