On February 11, Hanil Cement’s Danyang
Plant donated 25 dry foot baths worth approximately 5 million KRW to the
Maepo-eup Community Security Council to support neighbors in need. This
donation was made possible through the company’s “spare change fund,” which
collects amounts less than 1,000 KRW from employees’ monthly salaries.
The initiative began in 2002 and has
continued for 24 years, with voluntary participation from employees leading to
donations totaling around 44 million KRW to date.
Plant Manager Jeon Jae-cheol stated, “We
will continue to support the underprivileged in our community, practice ESG
management, fulfill our social responsibilities, and strive to be a local
company that grows in harmony with the region.”
