On August 21, Hanil Cement and Hanil Industry jointly developed “Ultra-Retentive Concrete,” a new product that maintains stable quality even under high temperatures and during long-distance transport.

The key feature of Ultra-Retentive Concrete is its exceptional workability retention — it remains workable for over three hours after production. Even in extreme summer conditions with average temperatures around 35°C, the concrete demonstrates significantly improved resistance to material separation and enhanced slump retention.

Compared to conventional concrete, which typically begins to harden within 90 minutes, the new formulation allows for more than twice the working time, making it especially suitable for urban construction sites with frequent traffic congestion or large-scale projects requiring continuous placement.

The development combines Hanil Cement’s cement material technology with Hanil Industry’s admixture formulation expertise, resulting in a product expected to enhance construction efficiency while improving the quality and durability of concrete structures.
