Hanil Cement won 1st prize in the Portland cement, dry mortar, and ready-mix concrete categories at the “2024 Korean Standard - Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) Award Ceremony.” KS-QEI is a comprehensive index presented based on surveys among consumers and experts of products who evaluate and grade the degree of excellence and satisfaction with quality. The ceremony was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul in Jung-gu on November 6.

Having ranked 1st in the Portland cement category for 15 consecutive years, Hanil Cement acquired ISO 9001 for all of its worksites—the first-ever feat in the industry—in 2004. It has also established a company-wide quality system, striving for thorough quality control of its cement.

Its remitar, which is popularly used as a multi-purpose interior building material for floor finishing, tile attachment, etc., won 1st prize in the dry mortar category for the 16th consecutive year. Hanil Cement has been launching a variety of remitar products such as “FS600 HD” and “HiFix 30” in response to the topics of interest in the construction industry of late including noise complaint issues in apartments and defect prevention.

It won 1st prize in the ready-mix concrete category for the 5th consecutive year. Through approximately 20 ready-mix concrete plants nationwide, Hanil Cement and its affiliates supply ready-mix concrete to construction sites; thus establishing a multi-regional supply system. It has also developed high-strength, high-flowing ready-mix concrete, applying it to high-rise buildings in an effort to strengthen its product development technology.
