Hanil Cement was named No. 1 “most respected company in Korea” in the cement sector in 2023, according to the announcement by the Korea Management Association Consultants (KMAC). This is the 20th consecutive honor since 2004 when the survey was first conducted, further solidifying the company's status as a leader of the Korean cement industry.

The feat is attributed to the company's unceasing efforts to lead the paradigm of the construction materials industry since the company's foundation in 1961; Hanil Cement executed an initial public offering for the first time in the industry in 1961, launched the first-ever BCT (bulk cement truck) in Korea, and released the first dry mortar of the domestic market in 1991.

Then, in 2004, all of its worksites acquired the international standard quality management system certification (ISO 9001) as the first company to achieve such feat in the industry, establishing a company-wide quality management system. It also acquired Environmental Product Declaration certificates for 33 products in all including remitar for plastering and general floors; thus possessing the industry's best portfolio of eco-friendly products.

Moreover, it created an ESG management committee in 2022 and systematized detailed assignments in each area, and it plans to establish a mid- to long-term roadmap for greenhouse gas emission reduction not only to move forward as a sustainable centennial corporation but also to grow as a socially responsible company.
