On January 17th, Hanil Cement Danyang Plant delivered a 'shoulder and neck massager' worth about 3 million won to the local National Council on Social Welfare in Maepo-eup.

Danyang Plant employees raise money by collecting the remainder under 1,000 won from their monthly paychecks to aid the underprivileged in the region.

On this day, they purchased a Danyang gift voucher with 3 million won from donations collected through the 'remainder bankbook of love', purchased items from a small business owner in Maepo, and delivered them to the local National Council on Social Welfare.

The remainder bankbook fundraising activity started in 2002 and has continued for 21 years. With the voluntary participation of employees, they have donated a total of 33 million won and are practicing love for their neighbors. Danyang Plant manager said, "As a company that contributes to the local community, such as helping the underprivileged in the region, and fulfills ESG management and social responsibilities, we plan to continuously seek ways to coexist with local residents."
