On May 17th, Hanil Cement's first-class Portland cement obtained the 'Environmental Product Declaration' from the Ministry of Environment for the first time in the industry. The Environmental Product Declaration quantitatively indicates the environmental impact of the entire process from the collection of raw materials for products and services to disposal in order to enhance the eco-friendliness of products and services. Currently, public buildings with a total floor area of 3,000㎡ or more must undergo green building certification examination, and this is expected to expand to private buildings in the future. Additional points are awarded for using building materials that have obtained Environmental Product Declaration or low-carbon product certification. If it is certified as a green building, it will also receive benefits such as relaxation of building standards and tax reduction.

In March, Hanil Cement received an Environmental Product Declaration for the dry mortar product 'Remitar' for general plastering, general flooring, and high-strength flooring. 'Ready-mixed concrete' has obtained low-carbon product and Environmental Product Declaration for 4 specifications and carbon footprint certification for 5 specifications.

Hanil Cement stated, "This year, we are focusing on the production of eco-friendly, low-carbon products in all processes from production to sales, starting with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management in earnest." They added, "We will continue to strive to improve the quality of our major products as well as improve the eco-friendliness."
