In 2021, Hanil Cement was selected as the annual number 1 most respected cement company according to KMAC. Since 2004 when the event started, it has been ranked as number 1 for 18 years in a row. By receiving the award this time, the company has secured its position as a leading cement company in Korea.

The award recognition is mostly due to beside making efforts for supplying high quality, safe construction materials, the company’s commitment to environment oriented management focusing on eco friendly production, resource recycling, efficient energy use and various social contributions through agricultural machine repair and tree planting for green environment and also efforts sustainable management.

Through this effort, the company has been selected the first cement company to be recognized as green company according to the ternary yearly appointment by the ministry of environment and also the recipient of award for 4 consecutive years since 2011 to 2020 as a manufacturing company. In 2015, the Portland cement product manufactured by Danyang factory was certified as the top grade for eco friendly construction material. In addition, compared to existing Portland cement products, it has successfully reduce the amount of lime use and lowered the plasticity temperature thus eventually succeeding in test production of low carbon green cementer that can reduce the amount of CO2 which is the main cause of greenhouse gas emission.

From now on, Hanil Cement will develop safe and eco friendly products to fulfill its commitments to social responsibilities for environment preservation facing the company as an environment protector.
