On June 18 and 19, the Korea Cement Association held a celebratory event for the 56th anniversary of the establishment and the 46th Cement Symposium at the Daemyeong Resort in Danyang of Chungbuk province in the presence of 350 representatives from 9 companies in the Korean cement industry and related academic organizations.

On this day, Chief Director Heo Gwon-hoi of Hanil Cement and Chief Director Lee Yoon-hee of Hanil Hyundai Cement received a commendation from the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy, which is presented to individuals who have made great contributions to the development of the cement industry. Lee Gun-ho, leader of the Quality Management Team at Hanil Cement (Pyeongtaek Plant), and Kim Do-gyun, a manager of the Quality Management Team at Hanil Hyundai Cement (Yeongwol Plant) received a commendation from the Chairman of the Korea Cement Association.

The Cement Symposium is held every year with the purpose of presenting research outcomes in various areas including cement production technology, quality improvement, and energy reduction, and to share advanced technologies to increase the general competitiveness of the Korean cement industry.
