Donation of KRW 100 million to repair damages from Gangwon-do forest fire

On April 11, Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai Cement donated a total of KRW 100 million, contributing KRW 50 million each, to the National Association for Disaster Relief by negotiation with the Gangwon Provincial Government.
The donation will be used to support victims of the forest fire in Gangwon-do and to repair damages cause by the fire. The National Association for Disaster Relief will use the donation to operate emergency housing facilities for the forest fire victims in Sokcho, Goseong, and Donghae in Gangwon-do, as well as for other relief activities including restoration of damaged buildings, living expenses, and relief goods.
A representative from Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai Cement said, “We hope that the donation can help the victims affected by the unexpected forest fire.” The companies also promised to always be a company that stands with the local community in hard times.
Meanwhile, Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai Cement have been practicing sharing management through the company volunteer group “WITH”, founded in 2011. The volunteer group has performed various corporate philanthropy activities including food services, briquette delivery, blood donation campaign, agricultural machine repair service, and so on.
