Last November 9th, the Korean Standards Association held an Unveiling Ceremony for the Hall of Fame at the Hanil Cement Headquarters.

Among companies with outstanding performance and standards in the Korean manufacturing and service industry, the Korean Standards Association selects the company which has maintained the number one rank in the Korean Standard Quality Excellence Index for 10 consecutive years, and inscribes its name in the Hall of Fame.

Hanil Cement was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the first time for ranking highest in the mortar industry for 10 consecutive years. Remitar was the first dry mortar product developed in Korea by Hanil Cement in 1991. It has been evaluated as a product which has shifted the paradigm in the Korean architecture industry, ensuring quality, safety, and environment-mindedness on construction sites.

“We will not be satisfied with the present, and will continue striving to make high quality products in order to be the basic building material company which is directly connected to the safety of buildings and citizens. We will also contribute to fortifying the competitiveness of the quality of national products,” said Kwak Eui-young, the CEO of Hanil Cement Co., Ltd.

Meanwhile, KS-QEI is a quality evaluation model jointly developed by the Korean Standards Association and the Korean Society for Quality Management which reflects evaluations of customer product satisfaction and product features. As the only comprehensive product quality satisfaction index in Korea, it is based on the levels of product satisfaction and quality excellence as evaluated by industry experts and customers who have actually used the products.
