On November 8, Team Bulkkot and Team Eoullim from Hanil Cement Danyang Plant won a gold and a silver medal, respectively, at the 43rd National Quality Management Competition hosted by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy’s Agency for Technology and Standards and sponsored by the Korean Standards Association. Team Bulkkot, which participated in the environmental safety area, won the gold medal with its presentation on improving energy conversion process during cement production, and Team Eoullim won the silver medal by presenting on how it reduced failures by improving powdered ingredient transfer process for its Production Unit No. 10. The competition was participated by 5,000 people in two hundred eighty-five production cells from seventeen cities and provinces. The teams reported their performance on quality management activities and transferred their quality management know-hows.
