Hanil Cement Danyang Plant achieved 2,100 days without accidents on August, the longest period without injuries. This feat was achieved in the course of five years from November 30, 2011 and is the result of continued safety and health activities conducted by the labor and the management for the goal of “Safety First.”

Danyang Plant has been operating KOSHA18001, a safety and health management system to create an accident-free production site and continued to host labor-management industrial safety and health committee meetings. In addition, the company operated safety management for three focus areas (inadvertent accidents, risk perception, risk factor report), conducted safety campaigns, and hosted industrial disaster prevention rallies to improve the safety awareness of the employees.

In addition, the manufacturing plant published safety newsletter every month and executed safety and health programs for vendor companies, showing a united front of labor and management for safety and health. The executives and employees at Danyang Plant pledged to become the safest and healthiest company in Korea during the celebration.
