On July 1, the 4th Cement Day ceremony was held at the Korea Enterprises Federation Conference Center to recognize the vital role of the cement industry as a national key industry and to honor its contribution to economic development and industry professionals.

Hosted by the Korea Cement Association, the event was attended by over 200 participants, including Hanil Cement President Jeon Geun-sik, CEOs from various cement companies, industry employees, representatives from related organizations, and academic experts.

During the ceremony, CEOs of major cement companies signed a joint declaration pledging their commitment to realizing ESG management in the cement industry through continuous R&D and accelerating the development of carbon reduction technologies in response to the global climate crisis.

The event also included government commendations for individuals who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the cement industry.

Hanil Cement’s Executive Directors Sun Young-hyun and Choi Gil-yong received awards from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, while Team Leaders Kim Seok-yong of Hanil Cement and Kim Jeong-ryeol of Hanil Hyundai Cement received commendations from the Chairman of the Korea Cement Association.
