The ceremony of the "2nd Cement Day" was held at the FKI Tower in Yeouido, Seoul on June 30. Hosted by the Korea Cement Association, the event was attended by more than 200 personalities in the industry and politics, including Hanil Cement’s CEO Jeon Gun-sik, CEOs of other cement companies, People Power Party’s Eom Tae-young, Director General for Material Convergence Industrial Policy Choi U-seok of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and more. Those who have contributed to the development of the cement industry were awarded at the ceremony. Winners were first selected through the recommendation by business circles and the association followed by fair screening by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, Ministry of Environment, and academic society. The Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy Award was given to Director Jeon Jae-cheol and Director Yang Beom-ju of Hanil Hyundai Cement, and the Chairman of the Korea Cement Association Award went to Department Manager Lee Ho-jin of Hanil Cement and Department Manager Kim Yeong-hwan of Hanil Hyundai Cement.
