The Udeok Foundation holds the 2nd Udeok Architect Award. The application period is from July 3 to August 20. Eligible participants are students of undergraduate or graduate schools across the country. An individual or a team of not more than three persons can participate in the contest. A participant should submit a plate including a perspective and a plan under the theme of eco-friendly office building or indoor interior. Another required submission is a less than 1-minute video that explains the work. Participants who pass the preliminaries can take part in the final in November, where they should give a 10-minute presentation. Winners are selected by the onsite screening on the very day. A total of KRW 25 million is conferred to 10 winners: 1 for the grand prize, 2 for the best prize, 3 for the excellence prize, and 4 for the encouragement prize. The Udeok Foundation plans to provide support to students of architecture in various ways, including offering a lecture by a renowned architect on the day of the final screening.
