Hanil Cement’s Danyang Plant held the "Maehwagol Children's Painting Contest in Spring" at Udeokwon of the plant by inviting more than 80 elementary students from elementary schools in Maepo-eup on May 10. In the contest, Sin Eun-bin, a sixth grader of Maepo Elementary School, received the grand prize. A total of 15 students were awarded: the best award for 2, the excellence award for 5, and an encouragement prize for 7. Having been discontinued for a while due to COVID-19, the contest marked its 10th anniversary this year. Hanil Cement is implementing various projects including scholarship for cultivating local talents. “We will hold this event every year to be a strong supporter of local children. We will do our best to carry out diverse projects to back up local society,” Danyang Plant Manager Shim Yong-seok said.
