Hanil Cement Danyang Plant delivered 30 Happy Box sets worth 3,000,000 won to the Maepo-eup Community Security Council on January 18. Happy Boxes, each of which consists of health foods and groceries, were prepared by collecting less than 1,000 won every month from the paycheck of each and every Danyang Plant employee.

Celebrating their 22nd anniversary this year, such funding activities first began in 2002. Thanks to the voluntary participation of the employees, about 36 million won in donations have been collected and delivered to neighbors in need in the Maepo region. “We will continue to coexist with local residents by helping the disadvantaged in the area,” Shim Yong-seok, Head of Danyang Plant, vowed.
