Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Hong Nam-ki visited the Danyang Plant on April 28 to meet with CEO Jeon Gun-sik and other employees. This visit aimed at encouraging cement production and inspecting the relevant supply and demand trends given the recent rise in construction materials prices and instabilities in supply and demand.

Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki expressed his appreciation and encouragement to employees contributing to the stabilization of domestic construction materials by producing cement without issues. He also took a look around the Danyang Plant.

At the end of the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki promised that they would diversify the import of raw materials and support the quick clearing of customs for timely imports of raw materials to help with the construction of cement production equipment using circulating resource biomass. “We will review increasing cement transport trains and replacement of old trains,” he added, emphasizing plans to strengthen support for cement production and transportation.
