At the 46th annual national quality management competition held on November 11 of the last year, Hanil Cement proudly received awards in three areas.

A recipient of the prime minister’s award in individual competition, the manager of quality management team, Mr. Kwon In Pyo said that he has planned the project for each premise for stabile material supply and original price and quality, thus revolutionizing the company’s competitiveness. Also, he mentioned that the company acquired construction material related patents and performed joint researches with major domestic construction companies to publish journal and so on, thus successfully being recognized as its contribution to development of construction material industry. In addition, he said the company participated in cement association’s quality meetings and remicon industry association’s tech working group, thus promoting quality management and innovation in industry for stronger quality exchanges internally and externally.

As a participant of the daily shift operation areas, the ‘rotary’ shift team of production group at Danyang Factory received the gold award in recognition of the good topic ‘to become a rotary with high added values through changes and challenges’; and the ‘change’ shift team of machine group at Danyang factory, as a participant of the indirect office work area, received the bronze award in recognition of the topic, ‘reduction of business hours through cement waste heat exchange process improvement’’

Hosted by the Korean Agency for Technology Standards under the ministry of trade, industry and energy and superintended by the Korean Standard Association, the event aims to select and grant awards to companies and persons with great outcomes in quality innovation for various fields such as products, services, and so on.

At this rather small scale event held at KOEX in Seoul, due to the COVID-19 crisis, only few guests were present, including the prime minister, the minister of trade, industry and energy and award receiving employees of companies..
